EXSC 302 Applied Movement Analysis

This course integrates anatomical and mechanical principles to analyze human movement in sport, exercise, and rehabilitation settings. Students will examine joint actions, muscle function, and mechanical factors that influence movement efficiency and injury risk. Applied laboratory sessions emphasize hands-on assessment and screening techniques to evaluate movement quality, asymmetry, and performance potential. Students will develop skills to observe, measure, and interpret movement patterns and apply corrective strategies grounded in anatomical and biomechanical reasoning. Prerequisite: "C" or better in EXSC 210 or BIOL 216. Three credit hours.
