NURN 292 Holistic End of Life Care
This course provides an introduction to the key concepts, social science theories and research relevant to death and dying issues and palliative care. Students will study the processes related to grief and mourning in the perspective of clients throughout the lifespan and across different cultures using the Neuman Systems Model to promote health. The course will also focus on the needs of the dying patient and critical end-of-life care that nurses will be faced with in their practice. Prerequisite: Instructor permission.Three credit hours.
