PSYC 303 Psychology of Aging
Course is structured to trace the latter part of the maturation scale, studying the biological, psychological, and sociological changes and adjustments attendant upon the human organism in advancing years. The changes in the organism's vulnerability because of the psychological, chemical, and anatomical adjustments; the changes in capacity to adapt to the demands of the environment and other persons; the changes in social habits due to society's expectations--these are the interests this course is designed to address. Prerequisites: PSYC 101 or PSYC 102, and PSYC 203 and ENGL 102 or permission of instructor. Three credit hours.
