HIST 451 Teaching Middle and High School Social Studies
his course prepares teacher candidates to maximize instruction through active learning and critical inquiry in the secondary social studies classroom. Teacher candidates will engage in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of instructional strategies designed to create an engaging learning environment. The curriculum emphasizes the relevant materials and teaching techniques aligned with the NCSS C3 Framework and South Carolina College and Career Readiness Social Studies standards.
