HIST 499 Senior History Capstone

This senior capstone course provides history majors with the opportunity to reflect on and articulate the impact that their academic work has had on their intellectual development and prepare them to enter the workforce or graduate school. Through introspection, discussion, and development of comprehensive capstone portfolios, students will showcase their historical thinking skills, scholarship, content knowledge, and experiential learning during activities such as internships, study abroad, volunteering at historically-focused venues and events, and participation at disciplinary conferences. Students will also prepare for post-graduation success by focusing on marketing their career skills, resume development, and researching graduate programs. Prerequisites: Senior status and History major. Two credit hours.
