SOCI 389 Cultures of Violence
This course explores key foundational topics by defining types of violence, introducing the history and causes of violence, as well as discussing cultural environments of violence (domestic, global, religious, etc.), as well as tactics, targets, and counterterrorism. Contemporary information regarding ethnic violence, emerging terrorist movements, and social media and violence are also included. Junior/senior status recommended.
