BIOL 420 Herpetology
This is an advanced course in the diversity and biology of amphibians and non-avian reptiles. The lecture component will focus on phylogeny, morphology, development, functional anatomy, ecology, behavior, and physiology of taxa within these two groups. The laboratory component will focus on species identification and field methods for collection and research. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory weekly. Prerequisite: “C” or better in
BIOL 214 and “C” or better in
BIOL 303 or
CHEM 221. Four semester hours.
