BIOL 422 Immunology and Serology
This course is an introduction to the following concepts: evolution and the structures and functions of the mammalian immune system, genetic and molecular mechanisms of diverse immune responses, and coordination of immune responses and their dysfunction. Laboratory skills include performing fundamental immunological & serological techniques. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory weekly. Prerequisites: CHEM 221, "C" or better in BIOL 299 and BIOL 303, or permission of instructor. Four credit hours.
