MUSI 112 First-Year Theory

This course develops students' working knowledge of the building blocks of musical compositions in all styles and genres, including how melodies are built, how text is set to music, how chords work with a melody, and the analytical systems used to describe harmony and voice leading. Prerequisites: “C” or better in MUSI 111 and 113. Three credit hours.
