MUSI 114 First-Year Theory Applications
Designed to be taken in conjunction with
MUSI 112, this course trains students to use symbolic representations to describe musical sounds, to sing music accurately from music notation, and to detect errors in a performance of music. This second semester of ear training focuses on minor-key melodies and compound-meter rhythm. Prerequisites: “C” or better in
MUSI 111 and 113. One credit hour.
